The most advanced rope designs with Dyneema®
DynIce ropes are widely used in commercial fishing, seismic, mooring, tugging, yachting, lifting, leisure, off-road and military sectors. The main focus is on the 12 strand braided rope which has proved to be very popular for its roundness and smooth surface. Under the DynIce name there are available extensive selections of rope types to suit various applications. Many of the variants are patent pending as the designs are very innovative and the production process unique.
The first version of Dyneema SK60 later replaced with SK75, offers exceptional strength and axial stiffness. If thicker diameter is preferred for handling or holding instead of strength DynIce 60 can be suitable choice.
DYNICE STANDARD 75
Conventional construction of 12 single strand braided rope from Dyneema SK 75 impregnated with Durapur.
Reliable, proven and the most popular 12 strand braided rope of 100% Dyneema SK75 fibres impregnated with Duracoat for protection and improved abrasion resistance. Very suitable rope for all kinds of applications.
Low creep 12 strand braided rope of 100% Dyneema SK78 fibres impregnated with Duracoat for protection and improved abrasion resistance.
Very high strength 12 strand braided rope of 100% Dyneema SK90 fibres impregnated with Duracoat for protection and improved abrasion resistance.
The name Dux is from Latin and means the top of the class. This heat set rope outperforms other Dyneema 75 – 78 and 90 ropes as its strength is far higher, all constructional elongation has been removed in the production process and the stretch characteristics are extremely low.
DYNICE ULTRABEND 75
The DynIce Ultrabend 75 is based on the new bending fatigue resistant fibre Dyneema® XBO. The bending fatigue tolerance is up to 5 times higher than for DynIce 75 and therefore very suitable for running rigging which has to tolerate lot of bending under high load.
DYNICE ULTRABEND 78
The DynIce Ultrabend 78 is based on the new bending fatigue resistant fibre Dyneema® XBO with same low creep properties as SK78. The bending fatigue tolerance is up to 5 times higher than for DynIce 78 and therefore very suitable for running rigging which has to tolerate lot of bending under high load and high temperature.
Helix Tag Line
Using a regular rope of poly, nylon or sisal has some inherent problems when used as tag line:
1. They tend to wrap around objects
2. They get caught in pinch points
3. The bottoms fray and are then knotted to stop the fraying causing the line to catch
4. They get slick when worn, wet or dirty with grease The HELIX TAG LINE solves these problems, as it is specifically designed for the application.
HELIX TAG LINES are tangle resistant as it is designed with a rigid core & stiff overbrading to prevent any turning on itself and wrapping around objects. We have added an additional factor which is the spiral effect (HELIX), which will dramatically increase grip in wet & slippery conditions. HELIX TAG LINES are designed not to catch on pinch points, as there are no knots or areas to snag.
MARINE ANTI-TANGLE TAG LINES are manufactured from DynIce SK 75 synthetic rope giving them exceptional strength and they are also lightweight for operator handling. Each tagline has a soft over braided cover to help prevent abrasion. This similar technology is used in tow lines and gives the product its anti-tangle properties. There are four current lengths 15ft, 25ft, 35ft and 45ft each coming with a relevant colour coded eye for length identification. In addition to this there is a triple action karabiner with captive pin.
